Update Coming Soon

Now that the iPhone release has become reality, we're working on an update to DateWheel.net, our web app for the desktop and mobile devices. We were informed by very helpful users that Internet Explorer 8 had broken some of the input features, so we've made some modifications and are happy to report we are now in testing for the upcoming release.

In addition, we've added Portuguese to the language options (just click on the Brazilian or Portuguese flags in Settings). Thanks to user L.C. from Brazil for taking the time to provide the translation for us. The availability of the update will be announced on our blog and our twitter feed.

We have also been checking the mobile version, originally designed to fit on the iPhone, for function on other mobile platforms. While the screen size needs a bit of tweaking (which we hope to address in the future), the current mobile version works great on Blackberry, Android, Palm Pre, and Nokia smartphones. If you've switched to one of those platforms, please give it a try.

You can use DateWheel.net in your desktop browser or mobile browser.

Trip Boss and Date Wheel Classic Certified for the Palm Pre

We're pleased to announce that Trip Boss and Date Wheel have been Classic Certified for the Palm Pre. This certification, provided by the maker of Classic, Motion Apps, means that the software will run on Classic, the Palm OS emulator for the Palm Pre. You can download the certified version of our software on our website.

If you already own any of our software, your current registration key will continue to work on Classic. You can also purchase new registration keys to add our software to your Pre via Classic. Our other software will also work, although it has not been officially certified.

Date Wheel on iPhone

New Release

Creative Algorithms' is pleased to announce the release of Date Wheel on the AppStore, for iPhone and iPod Touch. Date Wheel has a new look, but keeps the same function that you know and love on the Palm OS platform. The implementation for iPhone brings the best of Palm OS - minimal taps - coupled with new iPhone functions, like quickly flicking through saved calcs. We've worked hard to keep Date Wheel as the date calculator with the best user interface available.

Date Wheel calculates time between two dates in days, weeks, business days, and months. You can also set up a countdown to an important date, determine if a project is overdue, or track how long a task is taking. The unique user interface automatically updates the oldest field, with locks available to keep one field constant. Save calcs for future reference. Easily figure out the time between two dates with Date Wheel!

We realize that many of you may have moved onto new mobile software platforms, with the disappointing news of Palm's plans for no new hardware for Palm OS and as your old Palm devices wear out. We would like to maintain communication with you as we move on to new platforms ourselves, so we may inform you of your old favorites being 'ported. We are a small software house, so we cannot possibly 'port all at once, but we are slowly chipping away at it.
