Wheel™ is the electronic version of the plastic wheel-shaped calendar
used by businesses to calculate lead times. It can also be used
to calculate the time between two dates or to calculate the Julian date
for any day of the year. The
time is calculated in months, weeks, days, and business days. This handy
program performs all the
functions of your plastic wheel and more. New 'today' lock
feature makes countdowns automatic! Save tasks for future

Date Wheel™ supports 5 way navigation. The user interface was
designed to fit any user's needs. All the screens can be
manipulated via a stylus, fingers (using the larger fingertip buttons),
5 way navigation, keyboards, and/or Graffiti.

"There aren't many Palm Applications with a simpler purpose than
DateWheel. All it does is calculates days, business days, weeks or
months between two dates. But it does what it's supposed to, and is
easy to use. Basically, you give it 2 pieces of information and it'll
calculate the third (a date or the interval amount of days).
There are many professions that require calculating lead times, due
dates, delays, etc. and if you have ever had to do this manually, you
know that it's not as easy as it seems, and when you're done you always
have that feeling that you may have made a mistake by a day or two. If
you're one of those professions, DateWheel will take the guessing out
of the equation and give you the correct answer, fast. You can get an
actual plastic date wheel, but come on, this is the 21st century... You
already have your Treo in your pocket, use it!
This App is too cheap and too useful not to buy it if calculating dates
and day intervals is part of your job, so go check it out."

Great product! I used the older (freeware) version of Date Wheel on my
Handspring Visor for years. When I upgraded to Palm OS5.0 (Palm
Tungsten C) the freeware version no longer could be used (did not
support the newer OS). I missed the Date Wheel program for a while. Was
glad when I found it was again available in a new, improved version
which supported my new hardware. I use it for both work and home
applications.

I've been using this program for six months now, and it has never
failed me. I recommend it highly for anyone who must provide delivery
quotations or lead times to their customers. The fact that the day of
the week is displayed with each calculation and the calculations are
customizable is a feature you don't get with the plastic date wheel.

No longer do I have to fumble with my calendar when making project
commitments in a meeting!
One minor problem (feature?) is that "duration" is expressed as
difference in days, where as Microsoft Project (and my preferred usage)
includes the complete date (e.g., start a project on Tuesday, end on
Thursday, Date Wheel says 2 days, Microsoft Project says 3 days). Oh
well, I have to add a day; it's still quicker than the hand method.

Oh sure, all project managers and program management people will grab
this and LOVE it, but who doesn't need to know the number of business
days between two points? Perfect utility...a must have at the best
price!! This is just another great example of what the Palm is made
for. A perfect 10!

The program has a great, easy-to-use and read
interface. The ability to select dates from a calendar to use in
calculations is particularly handy. The performance of the product and
delivery of the registration code were as promised, This has become one
of my most frequently-used palm applications at work.

This program has proved useful in planning projects,
completion
time estimations and satisfying general curiosity. Anyone who has
planning responsibilities will find occasion to use DateWheel.
My only suggestion for improvement is to add a duration of months field
to the weeks and days.
I recommend this software.
